The establishment of a presence in the very popular Second Life, virtual reality (VR) world is just another step in 4Offsets’ campaign to let the public know that Carbon Offsets are a both a simple and affordable way to fight global warming. “Our goal at 4Offsets is to get the average citizen involved in the fight against global warming and hopefully supply them with offsets.  Second Life is a great venue to both spread the word, but also to connect with forward thinking, creative people.  4Offsets CEO Fred Weiss continued, “Second Life is a great place for 4Offsets, because not only can discuss Global Warming, we can actually allow participants to offset the CO2 emitted from their virtual footprint”.  Second Life has over 20 million registered members with hundreds of thousands participating every week.
